We continue with the sketches of Bjorn Hurri, and this time the exercise focused on faces, featuring a hobgoblin drawn from the side, up close. There’s still a lot to improve in this area, but that’s exactly the point: spotting mistakes, identifying what needs work, and using it as a reference for future progress.

👉 Training faces is always a challenge, requiring attention to proportions, volume, and expression. Even if the result isn’t perfect, each attempt is a step forward in the cosmic journey of this aspiring artist.

The result strongly resembles the style of sci-fi horror, like Alien, and the pose even recalls The Terminator. If you haven’t seen these movies yet, you’re missing out on a great source of inspiration for creating intense and memorable creatures.

👉 This kind of study is essential to expand the visual repertoire and fuel imagination. Without constant training, we can’t improve — each sketch opens doors to new ideas that can become monsters, characters, or even entire races in universes like Pandemia or ELO with Eternity.
