We continue with sketch training inspired by Bjorn Hurri, and this time a curious creature appeared: its face resembles a pliers, with large, striking teeth. The idea of turning tools into functional beings is brilliant — another one for the idea box kkkkk.

Neste post temos um treino de pose com a Sheila, maga protagonista do zine Elo com a Eternidade, feito em parceria com o amigo Roberto Holanda do blog Águas Claras.

👉 O foco do treino está em observar a pose do corpo, transformando em esferas e quadrados para facilitar o estudo. A atenção especial vai para a posição do quadril e dos ombros, pontos fundamentais para dar equilíbrio e naturalidade ao desenho. Ainda há muito a treinar, mas como sempre digo: calma, vamos aos poucos rsrsrs.

Sheila é uma das personagens centrais da aventura, ao lado de um cavaleiro e um arqueiro. O zine já está no número 2, e o 3 deve ir para a gráfica em breve — só falta juntar as moedas para a feitura rsrsrs.

O treino ficou bacana, especialmente no estudo das musculaturas do rosto, exageradas por se tratar de uma criatura fantástica. Esse tipo de prática é ótimo para explorar anatomias alternativas e criar expressões intensas.

👉 Além de ser um bom exercício técnico, esses treinos acabam gerando ideias para novas criaturas que podem aparecer em futuros projetos, como um possível Pandemia 2.

We continue with sketch training inspired by Bjorn Hurri’s art. This time, the exercise was drawing the side view of a creature’s face, up close. The result turned out great, especially in the study of facial musculature, exaggerated to fit the creature’s design. This kind of practice is excellent for exploring alternative anatomies and creating intense expressions.

👉 Beyond being a solid technical exercise, these sketches spark ideas for new creatures that could appear in future projects, like a possible Pandemia 2.

 Seguimos com os rascunhos de Bjorn Hurri, e dessa vez o exercício foi desenhar o rosto de um mago de lado, com expressão meio aflita ou cansada. O resultado lembra bastante os visuais clássicos de jogos como Warcraft II, trazendo aquela atmosfera de fantasia medieval cheia de personagens intensos.

👉 Mesmo que seja apenas cópia de referência, cada treino ajuda a observar detalhes e entender proporções. Assim, quando chegar a hora de se dedicar mais profundamente ao treino de rostos, tudo ficará mais fácil. Por enquanto, o foco segue nas poses, mas já é um passo importante na jornada.

The result strongly recalls the classic visuals of games like Warcraft II, evoking that medieval fantasy atmosphere full of intense characters.

👉 Even if it’s just copying references, each training session helps to observe details and understand proportions. That way, when the time comes to focus more deeply on face training, the process will be easier. For now, the focus remains on poses, but it’s already a meaningful step in the journey.
