🏁 Art Training — Freehand Cars and Retro Speed Race Style

Hello!

And we keep going! haha

What is this — Speed Race from the 1930s? Maybe! The important thing is that we’re stepping out of our comfort zone with another freehand car sketch, no rulers, no fear, and lots of motivation to improve.

Drawing vehicles is a challenge, but also a great opportunity to explore form, motion, and retro style. Each training session is a step toward building our visual repertoire — and who knows, maybe one day we’ll create a story with wild races and stylized machines?

In this post, we feature a color training session with one of our most beloved characters: Ajora!
And yes — I actually created a manga-style RPG zine once. If you search the blog, you’ll find some drawings in that style — definitely worth checking out!

This is another older drawing I had set aside for color practice. And now the big question:
What would Ajora look like today in my current style?
Suspense... haha. Maybe one day, after more training!

Speaking of which, I’m thinking of focusing more on pencil training — so this Friday color training session might be nearing its end... But it’s all part of the journey!
